Aloha!
Thank you for allowing me to share my passion for this craft with you. Expression through the art of jewelry making is just as vital to me as the air we breathe. Each piece of R.Rokero Jewelry ~ Kolohe Gurl Jewelry stems from my love for all the exquisite images that surround me. Hawaii is breathtaking and my hope is to capture it in original jewelry pieces for you.
R.Rokero Jewelry’s plumeria, cherry blossom, lauae and maile leaf designs are registered by the United States Copyright Office ensuring mass produced knock-offs are not available in the marketplace.
If you see a design you like but have something specific in mind, I especially enjoy custom-making pieces.
Come back and visit often to see the latest designs. One look and you’ll be transported to blissful days under the sun.
Love & Aloha, Renee

RENEE E. ROKERO
Owner and Designer

On the rise to becoming one of Hawaii’s most celebrated jewelry designers, Native Hawaiian artist Renee Eleu Rokero creates original wearable art pieces. Always show stopping and emotionally engaging, Kailua-based R.Rokero Jewelry marries just the right amount of the tropics with feminine sophistication.
As a self-taught artisan, Renee started her creative journey at an early age at the lap of her artsy parents. Self-expression was encouraged in all aspects of her daily life. She learned how to create purposeful household items with everyday objects.
When admiring the world around her, Renee claims she sees shapes and patterns more so than colors. Her interpretation of the natural beauty of her surroundings is reflected in Renee’s designs. She takes a single shape, repeats it to make patterns, and then connects the patterns to create the personal images found in each unique piece.
In 2012, Renee was invited to join The Artisan Group (www.theartisangroup.org) as the only artist from Hawaii. The organization provides a sampling of handcrafted products to celebrities at top luxury gift lounges for The Academy Awards, The Golden Globes, The MTV Movie Awards and The Primetime Emmys. As a result, R.Rokero Jewelry has garnered a growing celebrity following, most of which have requested custom-made pieces.
When she is not soldering, hammering or designing jewelry, Renee is a consultant and clinical therapist with a private practice in downtown Honolulu. Specializing in individual and marriage therapy for almost 25 years, Renee enjoys the fundamental qualities of these seemingly different careers – the process of creating, transforming and impacting people’s lives.
An active philanthropist and animal lover, Renee has been involved with the following organizations: Arthritis Foundation, Boys & Girls Club, CHOC Children’s, Girl Scouts, Hawaii United Okinawan Association, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Summit Animal Rescue, Pa’i Foundation, Wipe Out Cancer, and Oahu SPCA, among many others.
Renee has a master’s degree in social work from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Renee enjoys her days as a Kailua girl having fun with her dogs, cats, and family. At night, she’s busy dreaming up her next rousing piece of wearable art.
